Victoria’s freeway system is a collection of radial freeways extending out of Melbourne as well as metropolitan freeways connecting the suburbs within Melbourne. The concentration of freeways within the Melbourne metropolitan is the result of continuous construction since the late 1960’s, while rural freeways are the result of bypasses of provincial centres in order to reduce travel times into regional Victoria.

The following list is of declared freeways - roads which have been classified by Vicroads as Freeways and having a classification number between 1000 and 1999.
